December 17, 2012
To our dear friends and FtH supporters,
On behalf of the Feed the Hungry Executive Director, Chairperson, Board of
Directors, I am attaching two documents:
1. An appeal to you to please consider the cry for help of those in New
Bataan/Compostela Valley/Cagayan de Oro (again), hit by Typhoon Pablo
(International name: Bopha) on December 4, 2012. Typhoon Pablo is
considered the worst typhoon (more so than Typhoon Sendong) that hit
the Philippines this year.
So many lives were lost. Those who survived were left without homes
and all their belongings were wiped out. There is so much misery all
over—here, we are blessed, safe in our own homes. But, we just cannot
ignore the plight of our kababayans. Thus, we are knocking on your
compassionate and kind hearts to ask you to please help them.
FtH is ready to render emergency assistance in partnership with
Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) and in coordination with
National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (NDRRMC) and
the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

2. FtH’s Typhoon Sendong Progress Report so that you know how your
donations for the Typhoon Sendong victims and their families were
spent—that every cent you donated through Feed the Hungry, Inc.
benefitted the intended victims.

Kindly take note of the picture of the just-completed two classrooms—
complete with student desks, teacher’s table and chair, upgraded boys and
girls comfort rooms with flushing toilets—that will benefit 100 school children
every year in Indahag, Cagayan de Oro. The later classrooms that are being
built through FtH are supplied with electric fans. FtH is looking into the
school water supply system and is also trying to provide them with books.

May we please hear from you? Please allow us to be your “Messenger of
Mercy.”
As always, thank you for your kind support.
