Feed the Hungry, Inc.’s (FtH) Feeding and Nutrition Program is designed to provide supplemental food to malnourished children aged 6 and below, as this is the critical brain development age for children. The Program involves providing one complete nutritious meal five days a week for a period of 6 months. Children are categorized from first to third degree of malnutrition by FtH program partners in accordance with DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) standards. Children are monitored and evaluated every month of their progress in weight, height and overall health condition until the end of the 6-month program. A final report is then recorded and submitted to FtH.

The Program also includes training for mothers on proper nutrition, care for their children, and family planning. The mothers are tasked to do the cooking and marketing as part of their participation in the Program.

From 2001 to present, FtH has provided PhP5,395,158.00 to fund 53 modules of feeding program benefiting at least 3,165 malnourished children. Ninety percent of the children who graduated from the program attained the normal level of nutrition after participating in their respective modules. The feeding programs cover the following areas:
