FEED THE HUNGRY, INC. 2019 IMPLEMENTATION REPORT
Feed the Hungry, Inc. (FtH) spent $250,056 of your generous donations on its eight (8) programs as follows:
I. BOOKS wherein Department of Education mandated books are donated to schools. Some of these textbooks which can be used for many years. $14,000 was spent to provide textbooks to 8 impoverished public schools in remote areas of the Philippines.
II. CARE stands for Calamity Assistance and Rehabilitation Efforts wherein FtH provides help to typhoon, earthquake, fire, etc. victims. FtH donated $16.850 in assistance.
III. FEEDING and NUTRITION wherein FtH provides funds and dietary regimen for feeding lunch to malnourished schoolchildren for six months until they are no longer “wasted” and back to normal. $16,700 was donated to nourish the needy.
IV. GIFT GIVING wherein FtH donates backpacks and sundries to schoolchildren, food packages to the poor verified by the Social Welfare Administration , food packages and sundries to the aged, the sick, the abused, the orphans, etc. $17,000 worth of goods were donated by FtH to 17 needy sites.
V. INFRRASTRUCTURE wherein FtH builds prototype two-classroom buildings in remote areas, complete with desks/chairs, blackboard, lavatories and electric fans. The buildings are structurally constructed to also function as an evacuation center when there are typhoons. FtH also builds potable water systems, playgrounds and libraries as needed in remote ares. $101,500 was spent to alleviate classroom shortage and provide safe drinking water.
VI. LIVELIHOOD wherein Fth provides funding for viable and sustainable livelihood projects in impoverished communities. $6,000 budgeted, implementation still being negotiated.
VII. SCHOLARSHIPS wherein FtH provides scholarships to needy and deserving students. $23,730 was donated to various schools to further education to deserving students.
VIII. SPECIAL PROJECTS wherein any project which does not belong directly to any of the other programs is handled within this program. $25,056 was spent for various deserving groups.
