Solita was a Senior Research Officer at the International Monetary Fund since 1991 and a consultant at the World Bank. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Economics from Maryknoll College, Philippines and Long Island University, New York, respectively. She was a doctoral candidate at New York University and George Mason University. She is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honor Society, New York chapter). She served the World Bank Group/IMF (International Monetary Fund) Filipino Staff Association as Vice President for 2 years, then President for 4 years. She received the TOFA (Twenty Outstanding Filipinos Abroad) award in 2010. Solita joined FtH in 1993. She was a member of the Board, chair for medical mission and feeding and nutrition, and currently Board Treasurer.
