Two implementations took place on January 19 & 20, 2020 in partnership with CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) covered 8 evacuation centers in Calaca, Batangas and 6 evacuation centers in Alfonso, Cavite. Roosevelt Elementary School in Bellingham, Washington raised $511 for the Philippine Typhoon Relief. Students came with coins from home to put in the jar. Gloria Caoile’s sister, Eleanor, decided that ‘children’ would like to help other children affected by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda- so Eleanor started this Penny Jar.
The Filon Boys Piano Concert was held at the Filon residence on December 1st. The response was overwhelming that hosts Peter and Suzanne Solis Filon decided to have two performances.
