BOOKS, Gift Giving & Infrastructure Program Implementations, 2020

Jalandoni Memorial Elementary School

January 27, 2020 – Recipient of Department of Education (DepEd) mandated elementary school books on Numbers, Science and Essential English, for its 2,000 Elementary school students. Present FtH founders Tessie and Pablito Alarcon, PD Gift-giving PD Jose Naldo, CARE PD Solita Wakefield and 6 FtH volunteers from the US. 

Infrastructure Program spearheaded by Program Director Angelita Sese the inauguration of two classroom schoolhouses in Portrero National High School in Pampanga.

Potrero National High School San Fernando, Pampanga
February 13, 2020 – Potrero recipient of Department of Education (DepEd) mandated high school books on Science, Math, English, Computer and Handicraft for its 1,753 high school students. The turnover of books was very well attended with a delegation of 14 members and volunteers from Feed the Hungry, Inc. present. The project was spearheaded by Belen Saramosing- Ramirez, program director of our Books Program.

Feed the Hungry, Inc. (FtH) is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, non-profit charitable organization based in Washington, D.C. Started in 1992 and officially incorporated in 1993, FtH is wholly volunteer-driven and started as a gift giving and feeding project for indigent children in the Philippines by a group of World Bank Group and IMF (International Monetary Fund) Filipino staff and joined by Filipino-American volunteers in the community.
