IMPLEMENTATION OF FEEDING PROGRAM OF THE UP ALUMNI ASSOCIATION- CAMSUR CHAPTER

The following is an Implementation Report on the FEEDING PROGRAM with special focus on milk provision, for the pupil-participants of the continuing activities under the Angat Buhay’s Brgy. Sabang Community Learning Hub (CLH-Sabang) as an application of the funding graciously disbursed by the FEED the HUNGRY, INC. (FtH).

Received finally from the FtH last May 5, 2023 was the amount of One Hundred Nine Thousand Two Hundred Nineteen Pesos and 60/100 Centavos (P109,219.60) grant funds deposited into the BDO account of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association-Camarines Sur Chapter (UPAA CamSur). According to the BDO employee who contacted us, the amount floated for a while since the account name on the transaction document was not spelled out. Word of its approval though came to us as early as March from the Feeding and Nutrition Program Director, Bettina B. Obias. Thus, the UPAA CamSur Board decided to advance the money for the ongoing feeding activities and just make a reimbursement from the FtH funds when these arrive.

ACTIVITIES:
The CLH-Sabang in Naga City is a continuing partnership-initiative of the Angat Buhay NGO and the UPAA CamSur. It is a response to the need for long distance learning due to the pandemic. It is a safe space for pupils needing help on their modules during the lockdown period. There are volunteer-tutors from partner-schools making way for sessions on scheduled days. The CLH-Sabang’s primary objectives are:
● To provide an academic support to families especially during the recovery from the pandemic;
● To provide tutorials on reading and numeracy for struggling elementary school readers; and
● To equip the hub with the necessary tools, devices and equipment to make the center conducive for learning.
